LETS EXPLORE THE WISSAHICKON TRAIL REVISED AUG 25 2020
Let's Explore the Wissahickon 'Trail is an 'Interactive Virtual Lesson' that Preschoolers - 1st grade Providers/Teachers/Administrators/Parents can utilize in the virtual classroom, regular classroom or as part of home enrichment. Children actually join me in taking a virtual walk on the trail and have fun doing a Nature Scavenger Hunt. Children learn new vocabulary words, have fun finding/identifying sixteen items from their Nature Scavenger Hunt Sheet. Write down this list and see if you can find the items on the trail: Bird, Flower, A drop of water, Grass, Tree, Dirt, Brown leaf, Ant, Clouds, Rocks, Butterfly, Bug, Green Leaf, Spider web, Fern and bark from a tree. (If you would like a copy of the Scavenger Hunt Sheet) just send me your email in the comments and I will send you a copy. Children are asked what should they take before going on the trail, what do they think they will see and hear? There are lots of 'open-ended' questions, along the way for children to think about. Well, let's get started. After you take a walk on the Wissahickon Trail, come join me for, "Let's Explore Elmwood Zoo!"
